Katerina has been providing clinical exercise physiology services in the Illawarra over the past 19 years with a passion for the role of tailored exercise and education in managing injuries, pain and health conditions. Katerina graduated from the 4-year Bachelor of Exercise Science & Rehabilitation degree at University of Wollongong (UOW) with 1st class honors in 2004 and was employed at UOW’s Exercise Science & Rehabilitation Centre between 2005-2009 moving into private practice in 2010 after the clinic closed establishing Wollongong based clinic, Rehabilitation in Motion. Katerina has also been involved in guest lecturing and Associate Lecturing in Clinical Exercise Physiology at UOW. She was awarded the Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA) Professional Practice award for outcomes in exercise rehabilitation programs for individuals with subacute and chronic lower back pain in 2008.
Katerina has extensive experience in working with clients with musculoskeletal injuries and persisting pain providing structured exercise rehabilitation programs under workers compensation and CTP schemes since 2005. She has a passion for assisting clients improve their function and understanding of how to self-manage injuries/pain and reduce the impact injuries/pain have on their lives.
Katerina also assists private, Medicare, NDIS and DVA clients in the management of health and medical conditions or injuries/pain and corporate clients running group based manual handling training promoting injury prevention.
